Below you will see a 6 month old Audi Q3 comparison before and after paint correction. Even though the Audi was basically brand new, the car had swirl marks in the paint which were visible in direct light. The paint was polished with a 1-stage enhancement and then ceramic coated.
Customer was very happy with results, and the car was ready to be driven in the summer again.
Another example of paint correction on this Hyundai, before during and after you can see the extent of the swirls.
Paint enhancement, also known as a paint enhancement detail, is a professional automotive detailing process that aims to improve the appearance of a vehicle’s paintwork by enhancing its gloss, depth, and overall finish.
Paint correction is a very effective way at polishing the top clear-coat of paint on many cars and removing scratches and swirls. A 2 stage polish can usually remove around 90-95% of scratches on paint.
Sometimes it can remove all depending on the age of a car but perfection is often unattainable (and not worth it!)
This basically means one set of polishing using the same polishing pad and compound. Often called a paint enhancement, this is usually for cars that need a relatively light polish to get back to that new car paint.
You can view more information about a paint enhancement on our blog.
As you may be able to see above, when cars are not cleaned safely they can develop scratches ans swirls in the paintwork.
Although this may look bad, it is just damage to the top layer of clear paint that sits on-top of the base colour layer of paint on your car.
This can be identified using a small light or torch on your paintwork and you will see swirls or scratches. See above in the before and after pictures.
